| linksrheinischer, nicht-schiffbarer Nebenfluß, der beim Ort Nohfelden im Saarland entspringt, zum größten Teil aber auf rheinland-pfälzischem Gebiet liegt. Der landschaftlich sehr reizvolle Fluß, dessen Tal das Bergland der Nordpfalz vom Hunsrück trennt, fließt über die Strecke von 125 Kilometer hauptsächlich von Südwesten in nordöstliche Richtung. Dabei fällt er von der Quelle bis zur Mündung von 459 m über NN auf 79 m ab. Das mittlere und untere Nahetal ist ein bekanntes Weinanbaugebiet. | |||
| left, non-navigable tributary of the Rhine that has its source near the town of Nohfelden in the Saarland and crosses for the most part the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Its 125 kilometer long valley cuts through a mountainous, touristically appealing landscape the northern part of which is named Hunsrück while the southern part is known as the Nordpfälzisches Bergland. The middle and lower part of the valley is also known for its wines. | |||
